Hi.
I am doing the 4/5 field, hopefully it won't be a complete charlie foxtrot. Anyway after I want to ride across Golden Gate bridge since I always wanted to do it. Anything I should know about, and where I can go after for an hour or so ride?
P.S. Anyone want to join me?

Expect it to be cold and windy on the bridge, but I'm sure you've figured that out. Other than that, no suggestions.

For an hour, I guess perhaps Conzelman/Bunker/McClough loop + Paradise Dr. loop...or perhaps up to Mt. Tamalpais (front-side).

+1 on the Conzelman-Marin Headlands loop. It is a good little climb and once you get to the top, the view is spectacular... unless it is fogged in. Still worth it though. Plus, when you ride down the backside of the hill, it is a steep, one-way street. Very fast and fun.
Also, I think it is neat to ride through the tunnel to get out of the Headlands. If I remember correctly, the tunnel even has a bike lane. :thumb:

UD,
I'll be there for the 35+ 4/5. Not sure when I'll need to get home as were down to one car and my wife might need the car later in the morning. If I'm ambitious, I might ride to SF for the warm up.
Anyone heading up early for the 8:40 race? Want to give me a ride (maybe even one-way)?

My problem was I needed "SportLungs" instead of SportLegs (http://www.sportlegs.com/about/welcome.asp).
For the 7.7 miles of the 18 mile race, my heart rate was pegged over 178 and I couldn't recover. Not sure what it was but I wasn't feeling "on". It could have been the ride up to SF, or too much time between the "warm up" and the race, not enough rehydration before the race, anxiety about my stupid clunker, guilt about not going to Bonfante Gardens with the family, or all of the above.
