I use the Speedplay X2s on the road bike and I have SPDs on the Mtn bike. My old decrepit knees love the X2s float. Any opinions on the Frogs? And are they compatable with Diadora shoes?

i'm looking to switch over to the x2s for my road bike. i have frogs on there now.

i really like the frog pedals...exteremly easy to get into and out of. plenty of float (great for my knees). the only issue i have with them is that they don't engage tight enough. sometimes i'm not clicked in when i think i am and my shoe comes off the pedal. i might be able to modify the cleat a little to make it fit tighter. but anyway, i think they're a good pedal overall. the speedplay website has a shoe compatiblilty guide, so you might want to check that for your question regarding the diadoras.

how are the x2s?

Thanks for the reply. I really like them. All of that float takes a little getting used to, but I haven't had any knee complaints in the 5+ years that I've been using them. The only bother is that they are a bear to walk in. The cleat is very large and makes for a weird foot position on the ground.

I've been riding Frogs since 1999 and love them. I have them on both my mtb and road bikes. I use them on both so I only need one pair of shoes and so I can walk normally. I had a pair of Diadora shoes and, if I remember right, had to cut a little of the lug away. That was about the only issue with mounting the cleats.
