Cyclocross Racing - new bike for season - 7lbs lighter

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The past 2 years my cross bike has weighed 22 lbs. This year I will be racing with my new bike that comes in at 14.9 lbs. By the end of the year I will probably shave another 250 gr off of it.
This should be fun.

what's this light weight crap about. steel is real. aluminum and carbon don't rhyme with anything.

Pics and specs?
My new bike weighed in at 18.5 (Giant TCX1 w/ 2009 Campy Centaur) with my B wheels. Haven't weighed it with my new Reynolds DV46 (since I don't have tires for it yet)

My bike will have gone on a bit of a diet too since last season. Down from 22lbs to 18.5 or so. Frame is still steel, but carbon fork, lighter wheels, lightweight tubular tires, and nicer parts in general.
