Here's what it says on the CL ad:
"This bike was made in Waterloo WI from Reynolds Cromalloy tubing and has Suntour Cyclone M II components, a Avocet saddle and a UNO Ultra System K-alloy stem (the part that connects the handle bars to the frame. The finish is black with red letters. Condition is very nice with a few scrapes & scratches you would expect with a 25 year old (nothing serious). "

I have no clue what the value of the components are or what kind of Trek it is. From the picture I can tell that it has the gear levers on the down tube and doesn't have turkey levers. Oh yeah, he's selling it for $70. Worth it?

Yes, very likely. If you can get the S/N you can look it up on the Vintage Trek site.

I'd take a Trek 560 for 70. It was a good entry level bike back then.

As long as the frame, fork and 2 wheels are straight, grab it for$70. Bike like that is worth at least $300 to $400.

Maybe $200-225. Reynolds 501 w/ Suntour Cyclone.

Should be long gone by now. Nab first, post later.

$250+ around here in ready to ride condition. Steel vintage Treks are pretty hot right now.
