Foo - Cat hair IN laptop screen

1. Is it possible or is it something else I am seeing? It really looks like it, colorwise.

2. How do I get it out?

I imagine it's possible. The other day while at work, I ejected the SIM card from my iPhone. When I went to insert it back, I looked in the slot and saw a cat hair inside the SIM card bay. The only other time the SIM card was out of the slot was at the Apple Store when they set it up. I have no idea how the hair could have gotten in there, but it did. Tried to get it out, but couldn't, so I just reinserted the SIM card and moved on. Haven't had any problems, so I'm not worried about it.

As for yours, not sure how to go about getting it out, as you haven't really told us where it is in the screen. I suppose you might try blowing it out with some compressed air, but I'm not sure if there's risk of damaging delicate components in the screen.

Take a butter knife and a screw driver and pop the plastic cover off. Then blow it with some air and put it back on quick.
Don't wipe it down with anything. You will get smears and dust behind it then.

Looking at it more closely, it is definitely my hair. What the heck.

I get eyelashes or some other short hair IN my laptop screen once or twice a year. Taking it apart fixes the issue, bu they always move themselves out eventually, even if the exit path they choose leaves them taking a several month long trip across the edge of my screen.

Sound nasty but the following is true. I woke up the other moring with a scratchy throat, went to the bathroom and jumped in the shower, while in the shower I did one of those sneezey/coughing things, so natually I covered my mouth when this happened and was surprised to find that a had sneezed/coughed up a small amount of phlem right into my hand! but thats not the bad part! the bad part was this, there, in the phlem, was a cats wisker! but thats not the bad part either! The bad part was me thinking "what the hell are these cats doing to me while I'm asleep! :twitchy: after I got out of the shower and got dressed I felt fine. :thumb: :lol:

I don't know how you got one in there, all the modern ones are sealed on all sides.

you might have a piece of hair on the back panel where any light obstructions become obvious.

Sealed in theory, but things manage to get in there anyways.

there's about... 5~7 layers of plastic sheets and a bulb at one or two of the edges on an LCD screen.

the last layer is a reflective white plastic sheet and anything that gets between there and the next layer is the most obvious in terms of showing up on screen.

here in lies the difficulty of getting the hair out. if you can't get it out with the vacuum, you will be annoyed with how hard it is to get something out of these sheets.
