48cm Bianchi Campione d’Italia Road Bike. Small, lugged Columbus frame in the fabled celeste color. Dates to late eighties; in gorgeous shape. Minor defects, the bike looks to have been bought, barely ridden, and then garage stored for most of its’ life. When I overhauled the headset, there was no wear on the races, and the paint is in very good, though not perfect shape. Brake hoods could bear replacement, frame needs minor touch up, but bike is about a 9.5 out of ten. Italian made frame.

Frame is Lugged Columbus/Bianchi formula two steel, double butted. Headset, bottom bracket, cranks, hubs are Ofmega (cranks badged Bianchi); mechs and shifters are Suntour cyclone. Stem is Specialized, bars ITM, brakes Modolo. Basically a mix of mid range Japanese and Italian components. I can give the purchaser Look pedals or old style rat traps with the bike, or the cheapies that are on it, your choice.

I would vastly prefer a trade. I purchased this bike for my girlfriend, and it is just a shade too small. I’d prefer a road bike around 52-54cm. That should fit her. I’ll trade for another mid range Italian in like condition, a better Japanese bike in like condition, a better Italian in lesser condition. Would consider an early Trek (pre 1984) as well; would likely have to be a 531 or Columbus framed model. Heck, I’ll consider just about anything decent, shoot me an email or call if you have something, I’m tired of looking. I’ll take that old Murray badged Serotta off your hands (okay, you won’t trade that. I understand). I’m even good with old French bikes as well, but it would have to be a nice one.

If you're not up for a trade, right now the price is $450. May be high, but I'd like to encourage a trade if possible, and this is a very nice example. Plus it is small and celeste. Plus I'd like to stop looking for a bike for her. I'll be taking the bike to the Trexlertown swap October 10th, and selling/trading it there, so pickup or inspection is possible there for folks not in the Richmond, Virginia area.
