Hi, I'm buying a tri bike for gf as a surprise after all of her training for her upcoming tri. I've found both a 04 santo (info (http://www.racycles.com/sales-center/triathlon/complete-bikes/quintana-roo/quintana-roo-santo-2004-bike.aspx)) and a 03 caliente (info (http://www.bikepedia.com/QUICKBIKE/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2003&Brand=Quintana+Roo&Model=CALiente&Type=bike))

I know they're both nice bikes. They're priced within $100 of each other and are the same size, both well maintained. The Caliente comes with a few little extras. Which one would you go for?

Definitely a question for the guys over at Slowtwitch.com

The guy who runs the site used to own QR.

you do realize that if you go to a lbs with a good deal, you can get an 09 carbon fiber tri bike for the same price right?

Those bikes are both terribly overpriced. BUT if you are not buying them off that site, then caliente.
