Mountain Biking - Keeping low pressure in shocks- OK?

I've recently graduated from my old Jeckyl to a Gary Fisher Hifi Pro, and am absolutely loving it- what a difference it is to have an up to date bike that I can dial in to almost any kind of ride! Have a question, though- I'm only 105 lbs. and am running the shocks at pretty low pressure (50-70 lbs. in the rear, for example) to get the proper sag and fork rebound. Should I pump them up in between rides, or will they hold up long term just fine with pressure set that low?

Check the pressure every few weeks. Shocks should not lose pressure that quickly.

^^Thanks. Yeah, I check all pressures when I've been off my mountain bike for a few weeks (which is a sign my life isn't going right!):notamused:. So far they're holding pressure just fine. My main concern is with the longevity of the shocks- if the internal seals will go bad if there's not enough pressure against them for long periods.
