Bought the bike in 1985 when I was 52 and put on many miles for about 10 years. Upon moving to Florida in 1992, I used the bike as my primary transportation while living on my Trawler in Ft. Lauderdale, The Keys, and the Bahamas. The incredible thing about the bike was: It was strapped to the bow of my boat off and on for 2 years with no resultant signs of rust or other damage. The bike still looks like new. And, everything on the bike is steel. Just thought I would share my story!

Welcome John.
Seems you have been lucky. Most steel bikes begin to rust as soon as you ride thru a puddle. :o

The folks in the Classic & Vintage forum would love pictures of it.
