I decided to start cycling again (at 62) as a way to increase my exercise. I have type II diabetes and bike riding saves fuel and lowers my blood sugar. Biking to the store, movies, Starbucks, etc. in my area is quite feasible and fun to do.

My wife decided to join me as she has a nerve injury which makes it hard to walk any distance but she can ride a bike without problems.

We both ride Electra Townies which we find to be really comfortable for us old farts.

Welcome to BikeForums.
Many of us took up cycling (again) later in life. I started when I was 55. I'm now 64.
Stop by the 50+ forum and say hello to the "old farts".

I work part time (semi-retired) at a bike shop and we sell Townies. Sorry but they're too slow for me. :twitchy: I've got to ride something faster.
