I just ordered a new Ventana Mtn. bike frame.I plan to transfer all my components from my Specialized over to my new frame but would like to upgrade from Shimano XTR front and rear derailleurs to SRAM XX.Are my other Shimano components compatable with the sram Der.?

Sram sometimes use a 1:1 ratio on rear derailleurs which wouldnt work with Shimano shifters.

Like rumbutter says, SRAM rear derailers from x5 through xx use 1:1 shift cable pull ratio. Shimano uses 2:1. Pretty much, the rear shifter and rear derailer need to be the same company while the front derailer and shifter can typically be mixed.

That isn't going to work.
