I'm going to be commuting home late at night 2 days of the week, and I was looking for a suggestion for a headlight. I've already bought a Planet Bike Superflash rear light, which I quite like, but I haven't yet found a front light that I like. I've read through the P7 threads, but I am getting really conflicting reports on the quality of the lights. They seem quite bright, but the quality control during production seems to leave something to be desired.
I am, ideally, looking for something that will run off AAs (I already have rechargeable AAs), but I am open to other battery options. Being able to mount the light on my helmet would also be beneficial, I think I might have better luck attracting the attention of motorists drifting in to my lane by being able to shine AT them, instead of just infront of my bike. I'm not interested in a light with lots of modes (especially considering some people report their Deal Extreme lights start changing by themselves...), but a blinky mode might be useful.
Thank you in advance for your help.
