How do you keep knee warmers to stay up? Any tips other than getting a better brand? Mine are Sugoi.

the top elastic should be tight enought to keep them up -- and most people have the tops of the warmers under their shorts.

Someone awhile back answered this very question for me. Knee warmers are great for climates when the AM is cool, but it soon warms up...I like my knee warmers, but they are a pain for this reason.
The proposed solution...Turn over the tops of the warmers a turn or two,and tuck them under the bike shorts. ...The extra width helps them the stay up longer...nothing seems to be the perfect cure over the long haul...
It is hot today...Sort of wished I had a call for this very problem.
Wish the manufacturers of warmers could come up with some idea as to some sort of fastener to prevent this problem..

Sugoi knee warmers are terrible for that reason. Get some Defeet kneekers and never look back.

I second the DeFeet Kneekers. They're the best thing for your knees when the temperature drops and the wind starts blowing. While you're at it, get some DeFeet Armskins to go with the knee warmers. Having tried many different brands of this stuff, I really think DeFeet makes the best arm and knee warmers.

I have thought Voler arm/knee warmers have better grippers.Plus, I like red/blue arm warmers for being seen.Voler carries a rainbow of colors.

Fold the top of the warmers (arm or knee) down so the gripper elastic is facing out, then pull your shorts (or sleeve) down over the warmers. The gripper elastic holds better on fabric than on skin.

Here is a better idea, take the warmer and stretch them on a round container that is between the circumferance of somewhat smaller than your thigh. Make sure that the side that will face your thigh is facing the outside on the container. Then take silicone and squeeze about a 1/2 inch of that stuff all the way around the perimeter of the warmer, and smooth it out with your finger. Then let it dry completely before you take it off the container to try them on. This is what I have done to remedy my problem with them slipping down. Hope this help. Worked for me.

Maybe let the leg hair grow back over the knees during the winter months and just shave the shins and calf.

The Garneau's seem to work well for me - no complaints. I use them a lot when I ride to work - cool in the AM and warm in the PM.
