How do you calculate the total MA needed to power 3 9v DC 200 MA devices?

Multiplication. 200 x 3 = 600.

You need 9v at 600 ma

Ideally you'll have a source that's at least twice that in mAH. It's not good to run stuff at too high a discharge rate. For instance, drawing 600ma from a 300mAH source is likely to cause it to heat up and may damage the cells. Drawing 600ma from a 1200mAH source won't bother it at all.
