PH10 and yes.
Thats a huge frame. If it doesnt fit its not worth $10.

well you could always resell the bike at profit, so i dunno about "not worth $10". is $100 an insanely good deal, pretty good deal, fair price, etc?
anyway, i'm 6'3" and my local bike shop said it should fit. what is your opinion, given my height, and the bike size (64.5 cm)?

If your 6'3" it should fit.
If your looking for a bike as end user its not worth $10 if it doesnt fit. $100 is a fair price if it fits and your keeping it. $100 is a terrible price your going to re-sell it.

+1 What he said.
Also, make sure the seat post is not stuck. If it is stuck, then it is not worth $100, even as an end user.
As far as resale, large bikes are harder to sell, not much demand out there.

thanks for the responses guys.
one more question about the model. the serial # (Y707 22515) seems to indicate that it was made in '87, could it be the ph 501 ventoux with a non-stock seat?

No. The bike question clearly has HLE tubing as indicated by the decal between the shift levers. Its a PH10 but it doesnt seem to match the '87 specs. The model name is printed on the top tube. Whats it say?
