Northeast - Escape from New York 9/26/2009

I hope the wind dies down. It's been nasty the past 2 days.

Any groups doing the 66 miles route.... the person I was supposed to ride with bailed on me and I would def like to hook up with a small group

I'll be attempting the 66 miler. Theres a group of B riders from the NYCC planning on meeting on Riverside at the NW corner of Sakura park around 8, planning to be on the road by 8:30.

i'm gutted, i woke up this morning and my foot is all jacked up (think it's some sort of cramp), anyways I just came back from a pre-ride and my foot isn't having it. It hurts putting my cycling shoes on, ugh, i guess it's back to bed for me. talk about anti-climax! anyways it's pretty damn cold out there so everyone bundle up and enjoy the ride!

My low gears are working after Frankebike surgery but now the high gears aren't:notamused:

I'm gonna bundle up and ride the old beast up to sakura park and she if she behaves...if so I'll pop for the day-of, if not, oh well....time to order a new cassette:rolleyes:

great ride, cool weather with out too much wind...a light windbreaker at the beginning was all that was needed..

Excellent job by the NYCC volunteers...incredibly well marked route...never needed to consult my cue sheet...

now, I am off to take a nice long nap while watching some college football

I left earlier and did the metric solo. It was too cold hanging out at the start at 8am. Great day, great ride. Got home and slept for a couple of hours, now I'm ready to sleep some more.
