We still haven't figured out exactly what he is. Part Birman, and part Siamese would be my guess. He's got the gloves and the voice.

Ming is distilled (from my research) from siamese bred with angora, hence her longish thick and ooo so soft coat with the seal points - called a balinese (but not purebred) - also known as "applehead" balinese because she doesn't have the traditional siamese "v" face. My vet is quite amazed at how "true" to standard she is considering she is out of a "mutt" orange cat from the street and an obvious full blood that I saw on the street for one week. He calls her extremely unique.

I love ninja kittehs. The keep you on your toes. Tude's cat Ming on the other hand, attacks your toes without question. She can't help it though, it's a genetic thing.

The devil spawn has new trick - she back talks --- I tell her No or hisst at her and she does a grumbily meow back, but she stops what she's doing wrong.

Oh yeah - and she killed a roll of toilet paper yesterday.

*sigh* the amount of toilet paper that has been shredded in my house is unfathomable ...it's really fun when they shred it while batting it down the hallway so that there is a layer of TP confetti waiting for you when you get home from work

I got a pretty interesting reply from the author of this story (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2005/01/09/LVG1VAKP9D1.DTL) about women who love men who love cats when I told her I used the cat test when I started dating after many years of marriage.

I saw Cats for the first time last month, and I was kind of bored. And I *like* musicals and it was a great production, but...

Some random cat was out front of my place today and actually ran right to me, started rubbing him/herself on my bike and generally being absurdly friendly. I find some cats far more affectionate and friendly than a lot of dogs. This cat was a "tuxedo cat" with the softest cat fur I can ever remember touching. I wish I could have him. :(

*sigh* the amount of toilet paper that has been shredded in my house is unfathomable ...it's really fun when they shred it while batting it down the hallway so that there is a layer of TP confetti waiting for you when you get home from work

I am still finding little wads underneath things. She had a pretty good time I think!

Had to have my guy put down last month:( (13 years old and became paralyzed in his hindquarters). He was a great cat. Friendly to everyone, loved kids (hell anyone who'd pet him) and had no qualms about keeping the dogs in line. Pretty much any dog that came into the house would end up with a claw sticking out of the end of their nose and never bother him again.

This is Bernice. The nicest cat one could ever hope for. Always had a purr for anyone with a spare lap, or sometimes, anyone who so much as looked her way. I can still remember the day my aunt brought her to our house in 1991. She was a tiny kitten, and hid behind the clothes dryer for days.

Being over 18 years old, she didn't move around too much anymore, so when she stopped coming around about two or three months ago, I figured she'd either found a really good place to hide from the heat, or she'd run away to die, as cats do.

I found out a few weeks ago that a neighbor found and buried her in the empty corner lot down the street from my house.
