he'll come back. Why'd he get banned?

More pressing question:

Does anybody actually care?

Yep, banned.

I was getting tired of his bad attitude.

I usually let most little stuff go, because when you're rude, you make yourself look like an ash. But his rudeness was getting incessant. I warned him a couple of times and he kept it up.

We (us Mods) don't really like to ban people, we give them a lot of chances to clean up their acts, but when you get a person who ignores you and is just pissy all the time, it brings down the Forums as a whole. Especially to new members. No one likes to read flame wars and derrogatory comments. They're not needed.

Hope this explains it!

trekkie was NOT banned unless self imposed. A lot of people come and go and then come back.

Good guys too, like MikeOK. Haven't heard from him in awhile. Then he'll visit again and post some and then drop off. Pretty common occurance.

SOMETIMES Klein's flames were warranted. They were almost ALWAYS humorous tho :o

You would be surprised by how many of us that opinion works for. It takes getting used to but Klein is pretty comical :)

Not when he is being a jerk to you. I got him back a few times too. I thought up some clever remarks. Got him good a few times. IMO.

When I first joined the forums a while back, he always struck me as one of those types that caused offence whilst running back behind the wall of anonymity. That was probably just a front to hide some level of insecurity. He often had opinions that had no evidence to support his views. For example, his views on Cannondale for example are probably based on the premise "I don't like it because I've never tried it." He always seemed to be one of those folk who always had to go one bigger, one longer, one faster than everyone else. He could be funny though, and I remember Joe having to warn him on occasions I recall. I won't miss him personally. But it takes all types (jerks included). Right now, I wonder if he has registered under another name?
:)

I believe when people get banned their IP's get banned. So they can't even get on the site, much less register under a new nick.

I kinda banned myself from this forum, but recently startted posting. Klein's posts may have been a bit over the top, but a lot of his posts were informative and correct. When people asked specifically about mtb stuff, he was blunt, and i guess came off a little rude, but at the same time, he was right on a lot of ****. People would come here complaining about their bike, or asking about a certain part,(ie Hayes mech brakes), and people like Klein would give an honest opinion saying they were crap, or overall just not good compared to say the Avids. People ignored him and went ahead and bought the stuff, and would come back posting questions, freaking out about how their brakes were busted, not realizing the design was just crappy.

Sorry, I know i have come off as like a Klein praiser, or just maybe a dick, but I joined these forums in 2001, and honestly, I think at least the mtb forums have gone downhill. I began revisiting the forums a few weeks ago, and just visiting the MTB forum, it seems a bunch of new memebers just post useless crap about their bikes, which they could use the search function for.

Sorry, thats just my opinion, back then, the forums just seemed more informative and not just a bunch of repetitive posts, or peopel not looking up simple information about products.

There's my 2 cents, let the arguers begin

That stretch where there were days that consisted of 6 which trek should I buy threads a day got to him. Really, there is a reason why there is a search feature, is it really that hard to use? Seems rather simple to me. Things will improve eventually.

Thanks because when KonaRider24 said he was banned until Tuesday, I thought he ment Friday. If you read my post again you'll realize that I never refered to Klein. I was telling Bokkie why theres a good chance someone who was banned couldn't register under another nick. Thanks.

Even though I don't post much, I have been gone for a while. I was getting tired of all the smart ass remarks, not just from Klien, but some other people not to be mentioned.

Just post and have fun!!!!
