Great Lakes - Is this the Twilight Zone?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was not able to ride the DALMAC this year because I could not get the time off from the job. So i thought I could live vicariously through the posts and pictures on the Great Lakes Bike Forum. This is the second day since the ride ended and still there is nothing, not one report on this forum about the ride at all. Supposedly there were over 1000 people who rode this thing. Surely some of them would be computer literate.
I'm not even sure what that is. But yesterday I did a tempo ride with 10 intervals at about %120 of ftp. I'd be happy to provide you with a ride report for that if nobody else steps up to the plate.

and if that doesn't do it, I'm doing the monster 15 mile leg of this (http://www.winneconne.org/News/wk_bikehike_09_brch_web.pdf) ride with my 5 year old on Saturday.
Just giving you a hard time...I see it's in MI, and it is college football season you know.

No, this isn't the Twilight Zone, but as you can see, folks here are in their own little 'zone'.

I'm a Michigan native but I've never ridden the DALMAC, then left Michigan in 1977. Back around 1971 though as I recall, when I first heard of it, I thought it was so cool that I called Dick Allen's office, and spoke to him while he was in a session of the legislature. I'm glad it has become such a tradition. Back then TOSROV and the Wolverine Belle Isle Marathon were the big rides I was aware of. I did the latter once. Thanks for the memories. :)
I also had to work but most of our local group rode it. Everyone I talked to were ecstatic about the weather as it was sunny and temps in the 70's for all 4/5 days. I was also told that the winds were very light. Made me wish I could have done it, heck how often do you get a multi day ride with perfect weather.
Hope this helps.
p.s. This should be called the Chicago, Wisconsin & Ohio sub forum. Don't ask me why but the best great lake state of them all just doesn't get that many posters. maybe its because we are all out riding. :)
