***********BIKE IS SOLD*****************

I am selling a Specialized Expedition Touring bike. 56cm

I am not sure of the age, but the best guess is probably a 83. The bike appears to have some upgrades, including a Deore rear derailleur, and a shimano "deer head" front derailleur. The brakes are Mavac, the brake levers are suntour superbe. The rear rim is the original Super Champion, but the rim wheel is a Mavic. There appears to be internal wiring running down the down tube, but I have no idea on the condition of that.

The frame has the usual number of scrapes, but is overall in good condition. The worst are on the left side of the top tube.

My current plan is to replace the tires, tubes, cables and hoods, and put it on CL for 550, and if it does not sell put it on ebay. But before I do that I will take 400 for it as is.

If you don't like that price, please feel free to make me an offer. And I am still looking for a 54cm vintage road bike, and would consider taking one as a partial trade.

I have a preference for a local face to face transaction to someone that is going to use the bike, so if you are in Arizona, or have a friend here, that would be great. But I will ship as needed.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I think your asking price is a bargain.

You can also post your ad in the Touring forum. You'd be the first to list something, it appears!

Man I just can't swing $400 +shipping to Kansas, or else I'd jump on this.

I didn't think it would take long.

Guys, if you come across a 54cm road bike, give the man a call. He made someone's day with that Expedition, I'll bet.

:innocent::innocent:Hi- I'm wondering if you still have the Expedition that you posted? If so, please let me know... I have a 54cm. Centurion Semi-Pro in great shape, completely original with the exception of the saddle and new tires. I'd love to talk to you about the possibility of a trade if you are open to it. John
