Dose any one know a good wheel set thats on the low end of price and can stand up daily nyc riding, I was thinking the jalcos from bikeworks or there is another pair from bikenyc. I'm open to any and all suggestions. The city was pretty hard on my bikes by george steel dnp wheels. right now I am trying to get most of the steel stuff of my frame, the drive train is new and completely awesome yada yada yada.
I would say to look for a touring rim drilled for 48's. Then go and invest in a Philwood hub spaced for your frame. Uhh, drilled for 48's as well. Or maybe try to convert a BMX hub for your needs.

You would probably do fine with a surly hub, laced to ma3 (ala quality), cheap and strong.
