A year ago, I purchased one of the first gen SA 8-speeds. I wasn't overly impressed with it, but loved the gear spacing. I'd like to order the 'improved' (W) hub but would appreciate any user feedback first. So are there any 'thumbs up' out there for this new addition?

Yes, read that one... numerous times, thank you. I was unable to find it again so started this one to solicit any fresh experiences before I reach for my plastic.

Very good! Please let us know how you like it. From you location, you wouldn't happen to be in Idaho?

From you location, you wouldn't happen to be in Idaho?Indeed, south central... where all the dairies are located :( . CDA is a nice area, winters are just a bit too cold to suit me tho. 'Tis the hot springs near Hagerman that keeps me here - just nothin' like a 104 degree soak mid-January, with snow in your beard :)

The past 2 winters here have been BRUTAL! Those hot springs sound lovely. I'd move, except I probably couldn't find work around there.
