OK that was in jest... being a TV sitcom and all; but what happens when someone that can't read, or can't understand English, comes across a sign like this:

Truthfully and sadly we will end up with an accident maiming or killing more then one pedestrian.

Drivers illiterate in English may give their attention to watching for pedestrians and even cyclists rather than reading signs.
