But it looks like may be giving up my beloved pentax equipment. After the company sold to hoya, they just don't seem interested in the high end DSLR market. Thier new k7 just doesn't have the low light capabilities of nikon or canon.:( I just can't bring myself to invest in a company thats future is questionable. I played with the new nikon d300s today and was really impressed.....uuhhhggg...just a rant I guess.......

Dude...try out a Canon. You'll LOVE the CMOS sensor. :)
Don't worry, you'll adapt quickly. :D
Yeah, I'm a Canon person myself.

The price of the pentax glass and quality of it is what attracted me.( plus the price to value ratio of pentax) but with the k7 smaller than my k10d, i'm feeling torn. the nikon 300s felt great and comfy, but the price of that glass......I'm gonna look at canon as well. I may just wait, use this this camera till it's dead, and make a decision then. Two of my lenses i'll keep because they work with my pentax film camera, the others i would ebay. all in all, it's a great camera to learn with, in the short time ( 2 yrs) i've been back into photography, my eye has gotten alot better and I have grown alot. the fact is i have a ways to go, and can still do alot with what I have before I need to upgrade.....

I love Pentax glass, but I really wish they made a hefty full frame DSLR body. I'll still probably hunt down a leftover K20D at some point.
Pentax glass is wasted on APS-C.
