I in no way think he wins, but he has put up quite the bull dog effort. His stock is definitely rising. I thought he was going to fall over coming Plateau de Beille, but he kept cranking along. Kudos Thomas Voeckler.

I have been very impressed with him, to see his face on tv as he made the final turn on sat. and he knew that he was going to make in with 20" lead was priceless, and he give the french something to be very happy with

I too have been very surprized. Many times my dad will be watching voeckler fall back and i hear screaming YEA LANCE back in yellow tomorrow. But still no yellow. Dudes amazing. One moment he looks like he wants to get off his bike and lay it down. THe next his back in the front. I give him all props.

Didn't he finish in the top 20 on stage 13? And that was one of the toughest stages I've ever seen (in regards to time gaps). After La Mongie (which he did a great job on) I thought there was no way he would hold it

I think the "rubber banding" was him just keeping from going anaerobic so he wouldn't blow up.
Giving him his due credit, IMHO, I don't think he'll be anywhere near Lance after tomorrow's stage, and I think on Wednesday Lance will close it off, barring any crashes.
