I have been chosen to be a team captain to help raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I am asking for funds to help this worthwhile cause.
For anyone who may not know about diabetes, it is a disease with horrible debilitating complications that develop throughout the life of the victim. Blindness, kidney failure, amputations, and even frozen joints are just a few of the complications people suffer from this disease. The JDRF deals mainly with type 1 diabetes which most often hits young people in their teens or earlier. These are people who could be suffering from painful complications by the time they are in their 20's. Please, help me to raise money to help with research to solve this medical issue.
