Larry the Cable Guy is a comedian, one who is quite red around the neck, and one of his signature lines is "Git r Done". So the implication is that the church is catering to his fans i.e. rednecks.

My reference to Deliverence relates to the movie.

Larry the Cable Guy is part of the trio which comprises the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour", along with Jeff "... You might be a redneck" Foxworthy and some other drunken hayseed slob :) LTCG's catch phrase is "Git 'r done!"

One of thos things... you gotta see the guy's performance to understand it. Check Comedy Channel for showtimes, or look for Lartry on WinMx.

Actually it's four. There's JF, LTCG, Bill Engvall and Ron White (who I presume is the aforementioned hayseed slob). Ron White's the funniest of them all. Larry relies too much on tag lines, and JF and BE do the hackneyed cute kids stories too much, not to mention the 'you might be a redneck'/'here's your sign' schtick, which gets old pretty quickly.

And another thing - is every male comedian over the age of forty under some sort of legislative requirement to tell the Prostate Exam Story?

I think I've been listening to iradiochicago.com's comedy channel on live365 too much.
