Mr. Beanz

We rode up Potato Mtn again but his time started from Marshall Cyn. I had never started from MC so it was a little different. The first section on the ride sure is forgiving compared to climbing up the Claremont side. Plus more shade on the way up and a better chance to warm up the old stiff legs. I've forgotten what it was like to climb in the dirt. Well, on this course anyway, it's tough. I have been in many other mtb areas other than Chino Hills but Potato is steep. I look down at my arms and they are drippin sweat! Sweat dripping down into my eyes and down the tip of my big nose! I don't know how many times I've done GMR but I don't sweat like this. It ws nice in the shade at the start but once you get close to Potato Mtn, it warms up quickly on the steep climbs and the shade vanishes!
It was a nice ride though. Good workout and seems for most of the ride, it's tough just trying to stay upright. I can say that on GMR, one can ease up but on Potato Mtn, if you ease up, you're a fallin'!
