My nephew goes to Berkeley so my sister is a Golden Bears fan. My niece goes to SC so my brother is a Trojan fan. They're rabid fans. They taunt each other. I guess they forgot that the three of us were too dumb or too poor to attend either school.

Maybe if the Pac 10 and Big 10 are reallllllly good and eat their veggies, they can grow up to be a real conference......You know, like the SEC or Big 12.......No, better put their sights at something realistic like, say, CUSA!!! :-)

I ain't touching this. Most Big 10 schools except for the bottom feeders regularly fill their stadiums, though, and their students don't have to worry about being killed if they step off campus like you do at USC.

USC can't even fill the stadium most of the time... but when you're down in South Central LA, I can kind of understand why... :eek:

Funny. I went to Cal for undergrad. My mother-in-law went to SC. We didn't agree on much except that we both love my wife/her daughter and we both hate UCLA.

I've been to the Bezerkely campus. Kind of disappointed (since I went to Iowa) about how shabby the campus and the surrounding area looks... for the school's rep.

Gotta admit some bias here. I was THRILLED with that CUSA team. I graduated from UH. GO COOGS!

Will agree with bluevelo, the Big 10 will pack their stadiums (wife is from Ohio and have been to the shoe many times, the big house once and managed to snag Penn State tickets back in 2002.

I don't think anybody applies to Cal on the prettiness of the environs. I guess I would have gone to Pepperdine if that's what mattered to me.

I seem to recall some conference named the Big XII. They seem to have some decent teams. Sadly, my Fightin' Texas Aggies are not one of them.
