Mapping a few routes and looking for a way to bypass a section CA78 from Santa Ysabel to Ramona. Coming south on Mesa Grande, I figured on splitting off and taking Black Canyon Rd. Has anyone ever been on this road, car or bike? I heard it's doable with touring tires as part of the road is unpaved but smoothly graded hardpack. Anyone have any thoughts?
