Mountain Biking - I hate rain.

I woke up at 7 this morning to go to hockey camp. Which ended at 3. I was all excited because today I was going to finally get a long ride. But guess what? The damn clouds pissed their salty liqiud ALL over the ground. I HATE RAIN. I'm pissed. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

no, I just prepare to get wet. it rains here a lot from spring to winter then it snows. weve had a real wet spell as of late also so I know I will not be clean when I get finished either

Yeah I went into the trail and turned back after about 100m cus it was just too muddy and the rain came back too.

Rain has never ruined my biking.

I am not the type that hangs up the bike when it rains. Instead i learn to love it. Makes it more challenging when the trails and muddy.

I dont mean to be a nerd or anything but rain is not salt water....


Anyway, i dont let rain ruin my biking chances unless it is Really, Really rainy. Also, if it is only showering, my riding buddies never want to go out so that pisses me off more than the rain itself

I dont ride beause of the LACk of rain a lot of the times here in the summer. Nothing like a 110* day to ride your bike up and down a mountain :D

Tonight as a matter of fact. My buddy and I were going to go riding tonight. It's been raining steady for 3 days. The trails we ride have a slick clay layer and a small shower really tightens up the soil, but extended rain makes the descents too dangerous. Not to mention it really tears up the trails.

We rode on Sunday and it rained off and on all day, very sweet ride! The turns were solid and you could really carve around them. Loads of fun.

After 3 days though those same trails will be a slip and slide adventure!

I rode on Sunday too. Rained off and on pretty much all day. Santos was slippery as hell.

I absolutely HATE being rained on. The sensation of being hit in the face by rain drops is the worst! So to overcome this, I rode home one day in a thunderstorm, and got soaked head to toe. No fenders, no rain gear, nothin.

Loved every second of it, after the first few minutes.

Suck it up champ. I live in a rainforest. It rains, I ride....;) :D

I like ridng in the rain. But I hate riding alone. And my friends refuse to ride in the rain.

I love it when it starts raining DURING a ride. However, I don't like starting in the rain. Especially on my road bike.

DURING = LOVE
BEFORE = Pack it up and go home!

I love rain. Mountain biking is about getting dirty anyway. Rain is so much fun to ride in, and if you are mad, there is nothing better than riding in the rain to get all of your anger out.

I hate going out to ride while its raining but don't mind if it's raining while i ride.

However yes I have had my bike damaged by the rain. At a DH race my BHcomp got mud in the headset, rear hub bearings and one of the pivots points.
