Do they exist? Phil Wood is out of my price range.

Our Hase Pino's crummy freewheel has bent its pawls after climbing the Niagara Falls escarpment four times last weekend. The hub would be built up onto a 26" rim, possibly something like a Rhyno Lite.

Probably the most economical way would be to respace a 145 mm Shimano tandem hub.

Sorry, I forgot one important detail: I need 6 bolt disc brake mounts too. White Industries looks great, except for the price tag.

I'm more and more tempted just to build up a Shimano XT 756 hub that's in the basement... except it's only 32h.

Phils are pricey but bomb-proof.
. . . have put over 64,000 miles on Phil hubs, without any issues, on our old Assenmacher tandem.

I bought a pair of Phil's in 1997.
This year I had to send in the rear hub for their $55 flat rate service when the freehub started making noises.
The front hub has yet to be touched.
I have no idea how many miles are on them.

If you`re going that route, you may as well get a 36h XT. They aren`t very expensive- around $70? 36 spokes in a solid 26in rim makes an awfully sturdy wheel.
