Hello- A friend passed along a 1966 Carlton Catalina that I spent half a day cleaning up and working on with Simple Green and brass wool. I told him that I would try to find out a bit about the bikes history. he is the original owner and has changed out a few parts as things have broken or worn out. It has many original parts (Williams crank, bars and stem, pedals, seatpost), but did not come with the original wheels, derailleurs or brakes. Does anyone have information about how these bikes were originally equipped? Is this a model worth restoring, or simply cleaning up and riding as is? Thanks.
