Well in the past it has been very windy for this ride along with roads in lousy condition, and lots of turns through the Northshore suburbs. Today looks to be much better. Winds light and variable, weather not an issue. Route looks to be a little different and what the heck it is one of the only rides right in my back yard so I am rolling out for a 7:00 am start. Probably just for the metric century so I can watch some football!

How was the event?

I would have been there, but I avoid Waukegan.

How were the roads in Highland Park?

I did 103 miles there today. I would agree that new route is in parts better than last two years. They also changed couple of rest stops too.
Beautiful weather compensated for some bumps on Sheridan.

I was mechanical support again this year. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and all praised the lack of wind.

I heard many stories about someone throwing tacks in the road. A sag vehicle even went back again to check and someone had thrown more tacks into the road. Its a good thing no one got hurt.
