I've been riding these and love them. However, I'm curious as to what pressure people are running these at. I've got 700 x23c and the recommended pressure for these (and the 20c, and 650x20/23c) are all at 115 - 145 PSI.

I've read the threads suggesting that thinner tires can be higher, but I've noticed the 700x23c Hutchinsons are rated at 115 only.

So why are the Vittorias rated higher? And should I be riding them at a higher PSI? I've generally been riding 115 in the front, and 130 rear.

G'day,

I wouldn't take to much notice of the recommended pressures for the EVO's. I race the KX & Ks's & pump 'em up to 130PSI (140 in a T/T). You need to worry more about what the wheel is rated to, than the tyre,

cheers,

Hitchy

It's unusual (and frustrating) to find any 23mm tires rated above 120psi. The ones that spring to mind are some of the Vittorias and some of the Vredesteins. I assume this is because they are good quality tires.

Try running 145psi, and see how they FLYYYYYYYYY :D

The pressure you use somewhat depends on the kind of riding you're doing. I've had the CX and EVO CX for a couple of years now and love 'em. Being a long-distance recreational rider, I run mine at 100psi. Smooth, comfy, longer mileage and a better ride at that pressure. Also less susceptible to flats and cuts. If I were racing' I'd probably bump the pressure up to 120.

No need to go over 120psi unless you're racing on the track or trying to win a Tour de France TT.

Need to check the rating for your rim I have a set of these (700x23) on some Open Pro at ~130psi per Mavic recomendation on their web site.

I've been running mine at 120+/- all year and they feel great.
