Saturday September 12th was the first diamond Valley poker ride put on by our Club and the MWD. We didn’t get to advertise a lot nor did we start advertising soon enough but still we had about 50 riders so we might have broke even. Everyone seemed to have a good time and we learned a bit for the next ride we sponsor. We need to get the ranger to escort the people to the relief and card stations at least 30 minutes earlier than we did this time. We sent him out 30 minutes before we started the ride and waited till he had dropped off the first two groups at the support stations and by the forth station some of the faster riders caught and passed him. After the ride everyone that had at least a pair of twos or better got a prize. A full house got the first Redline MTB. A nine year old rider won the Giant Bolder. The weather was even pretty good.
