So I have been riding for the last 6-7 months and it has been almost exclusively road biking. So much so the only mountain bike is a Target *** that I can only get into middle gear with FD. Wife and I went to a mountain bike race Saturday (friend was involved so asked us to come) and took out combined value 150 dollars bikes. Cracks me up but she won the womens division on her 45 dollar mountain bike *LOL*. Me now thats a different story. I did not finish!

I did not finish as I stopped and helped one of the other riders that went off the trail and ended up in the lake. By the time I was finished I had got her, her bike her phone and her camelback returned to the trail. She had ended up dropping a good 15-20 feet into the lake and I was amazed that all she had just a couple of scratches and bruises.

I may not have finished the race (I was gonna be last anyway was taking it slow) but it looks as if we made a new friend! (of course it didn't help that the kid I sent for help may have told them she had drowned or something, ended up with about 12 EMS people plus a boat out on the lake!!!!)

Hahahaha, that's funny! Just goes to show it's not the bike, it's the engine.
