I got a 05 XTC Composite 1, Low center of gravity makes it corner better than anything I've Ever Ridden ( Enter D-minor and his forbidden terms "like it was on ..ils") The drawback to race geometry on my bike is a low BB An inch lower than the other 80 or 100 mm fork HT"s I've had in the past. It tend to drive the big ring into some of the bigger deadfall that one encounters on the trail. Over all It will never leave my ( Enter D-minor and his list of forbidden terms "Sta...") I love the bike. Can't say you would love it though. What did the bike feel like when you rode it? I assume you compared it to other bikes?
