Advocacy & Safety - What an asshat.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Besides the anti-cyclist comments, the author obviously hasn't seen Top Gear's review of the Tesler - and the fact that hard driving can deplete the batteries after two hours of driving (and require about 16 hours to charge up).
I wonder when he'll learn about this battery life issue. Probably immidiately after pissing off a small group of riders. Something tells me he won't have 16 hours of free time to make his getaway from a group of highly irate "lycra clad buttocks" heading straight towards him.
Maybe he'll need a bicycle.

I'd like to drive a lorry full of hooligans and ruffians right up his driveway, and knock his dustbins over.
As I recall from a TV interview, the car cost like a half million US dollars.
Seems from the article, the price is down to $130,000 or so.
Send the thread to P&R. Stop unsing A&S like a trash can for these threads!:innocent:

Even my washing powder is twice-the-price organic stuff that doesn't give worms tummy-aches when it returns to the earth.

I'll admit that I didn't read the whole article, probably about half of it. But he does seem to have a problem with cyclists, doesn't he?

Probably is, under an alias.
This fellow needs a refresher as to the result of Top Gear's Race Across London:
1st place: Richard Hammond, Specialized Sirrus,
2nd place: Jeremy Clarkson, speedboat,
3rd place: The Stig, public transportation,
4th place: James May, Mercedes GL.

Agreed...why not foo?
After reading that, I don't have to stretch my imagination far to figure out why he's always having run-ins with cyclists.
well isnt DQ the exact opposite of this guy...
so extreme in his beliefs, that his opinions are meaningless
Probably is, under an alias.
Yeah, no.
James Martin is most famous for being a so called "celebrity chef", appearing on cookery based game shows.
Also, the Daily Mail is a horrible newspaper who's readership probably agree with every word he wrote.

God help him if a cyclist is ever a contender. Can you say "mincemeat?"
-Kurt
So what -- he drove a rolling electric penis enlarger. Still not visible to the unaided eye.
Don't bother knocking over his dustbins -- he'll just sit in his parlor and cry while he knocks up the bobbies (calls the cops).
And his problem with being 'green' -- probably afraid of the old-fashioned In-Sink-Er-Ator..... Or has an illegal immigrant sort his recycling/compost his refuse for him.
Stand up in his face, he'll shrivel like ashes in an ashtray.

A British 'chef' who writes about automobiles.
There's the problem with British cooking right there.

I don't see how it's P&R. Maybe we need a "people who hate cyclists and they suck" forum?
