Due to other things haven't gotten in a lot of riding over the summer. But yesterday was able to join the Sunday Morning Ride for a ride north up through the hills. I've had a bunch of trouble with a knee all summer so wasn't sure how this was going to go.

Don't know how to describe the hills except to say they are the kind that are 5mph Up and 35mph(or faster if you've the guts) down. The first 5 miles are one of those Ups. There was just enough periodic rain to sprinkle a bit on us and keep sectiions of the road wet.

The scenery was very good as we could look over the valley to hillsides covered with fall leaves. We got them at their peak as the rains will soon take them off. A short distance to the north there has already been snow so we won't have long before it is here, for the winter.

At the end of the 23 mile ride we were treated to peach pie made with fresh peaches and ice cream . YUM!

The knee survived and only hurts a little this morning.

All in all a very nice day with good company.
