They are virtually identical bikes, very, very slightly different geometry. Neither bike has 'better' geometry, they both are personal preference geometry, so it isn't something anyone on these boards can answer.
Quality-wise, they are both entry level bikes with pretty much the exact same parts and setup. Neither have top mounted rear brakes, so if you think you may want to drop to 30/11 gearing at some point, neither bike will allow for it.
The bikes themselves are decent though and you can pick either and expect the same performance.
