Framebuilders - vertical to (semi)horizontal dropouts?

I have an excellent condition Bridgestone XO-5, with vertical dropouts, that I would love to put an internally geared hub on. I know there are more "simple" fixes, but I'm curious about how easy/hard and costly it might be to have a framebuilder to modify my XO-5 with at least semi-horizontal dropouts (and mounts for fenders and rack still). Thanks greatly.

It's not difficult to replace dropouts, but keep in mind you'll likely want to repaint after.

$100-125 for parts and labor...more if you want it painted too.
