Ask oddball questions to see if anyone else is as messed up as you...

Have you ever used electrical or duct tape as a bandage?

(Yes, I'm bored so you all get to suffer)

I used Duct Tape for a bandage once.

Have you ever used duct tape for each of it's 16X10^4 uses?

Yup - been on the road and had a major infraction hitting a mailbox due to a car pulling out and just kept swerving toward me (grrr). Owner of the house came out with widdo bandaids (I now carry a few sizes on me now - big to widdo) and we both looked at my bleeding leg and decided duct tape over paper towel was in order for me to get home ok.

A buddy fails to negotiate rapids in his Kayak and loses his paddle.

I'm in my canoe solo, so I have two paddles. My buddy "slim jim" has a spare to lend me. So we make a kayak paddle. :)

doesn't sound like a bad idea, right along side krazy glue for deep cut wounds.

Does it matter if the chicken was cooked or not?

yep - pretty leg :D, but you can keep the glue - used it a few times when I was on a bowling team - YEEEE-OOOOCHHIES! - worked but you didn't want to be near me for a few minutes - I think the werewolf in me came out, pretty much scared off the other teams too with the sudden tourettes as well.

yeah, I gashed a finger when i was working on the car. It wasn't bad, just needed a quick fix, so I tore off a bit of a clean rag and held it in place w/ duct tape.

Time Out!

You answer the previous question, and then ask one of your own.

atleast wait until it cools off a bit...geesh

as for the OP....I have used duct tape as a bandage...One of the most useful uses was when a friend's speedplay pedal exploded off of the spindle (the pedal body was still clipped into her shoe) at about mile 20 of a Century ride. We used a tube and ducktape (have no idea why my friend had duct tape in his seat pack) and we tied/taped her foot completely to the pedal spindle. She rode the rest of the ride like that...needless to say, unclipping was an impossibility.

No bandaids but a friend's daughter and her prom date won some good jingle in a Duck tape brand duct tape contest to fashion their apparel from nothing but duct tape.

Yes I have. Well, not "duct tape" per se, but genuine theatrical gaffer's tape. For 99% of all potential applications it's better than duct tape, though I can't swear it makes any more effective a bandage.

Can't say I've done that.

Anyone ever run around the woods half-nekkid in the middle of the night?

Yes, sometimes more than once in the same day.

Super glue is better, but duct tape works.
