Would this qualify for a Pie Ride? http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f66/kr32/005.jpg
I know it is a sad example of Pie but would it count?

Yes, it would count, but really . . . you can do better!

Sigh. If we start letting this count, we're on a very slippery slope. Just sayin'

I won't mention the pie. But nice looking bike from what I could see of it in the picture.

Good grief, Sir. I have barely passed through Newbiedom and this will be my first Pie Ride but I am googling places to ride that will pass a decent establishment offering quality pies in a nice setting. Have you no dignity?!??!:roflmao2:
(I am practicing my mocking skills for post Pie Ride)

We've had other 50+'ers eat Hostess pies on Pie Day in the past.
Even on just your normal day, a Hostess pie isn't much of a treat, much less as a reward on Pie Day.
If you can't find a good pie shop, and I know that can be a problem, then at least go to your grocery store and get one of these:

I was guilty of this "low budget" pie either last year or the year before.
I have a commitment on Sat that may keep me off the bike - it may be hard to get in a good pie ride so I may have to do it Sunday. In my location - this time of year it is strictly apple pie.
Love the responses and expected most of them!
DnvrFox had me almost falling out of my chair. So with that I will do my extreme best to find a REAL pie somewhere somehow, I might even have to bake one myself and take a slice with me.
And I might have to do this ride on Sunday as I have said eailer that I will be walking a Memory Walk with my Mom on Saturday.
Thanks for getting me straight on the Pie
gash44,
Thanks and here is a full picture of it http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f66/kr32/CannondaleSix003.jpg
If that was my bike I would flip the stem and............ oops! Wrong forum..
Actually, I really like blue/silver theme. Quite pretty. Now find yourself a decent pie shop. Anything you can find in a vending machine doesn't qualify.

That's not even food, much less pie. :notamused:

Thanks, as for the stem thing...I have gotten a lower one than the one with the bike and I am now at a point where I have been thinking of flipping it so we are on same page and forum.
Edit: That stem was not the one I was talking about. It is the original one and I have a less rise one on there now and that is the one I am thinking of flipping. As I ride more I am more and more comfortable with a more areo position.

When I bought that it was a test for the camera and I was just seeing if I could pull off a pie run....oh okay You got me on that...it was/had been like 30 years since I had had one of those "pies" and it will be another lifetime for the next one. It was pretty bad.
If 2 wheels fell off your wagon would you call it a bike?:innocent:

Home made PIE gets expensive on postage. dnvrFox has to verify that it is good enough for the PIE ride. But Sunday is OK.

There are healthier options- some even have a variety of fruit. But this is more of a tart. And the macaroon is healthy aswell. Just a pity they are so small.

Who cares about being healthy when eating Pie after a long ride. Your food pictures have always made me hungry. I could ride with you anytime!

You should be required to make a pilgrimage to Wilson's Ice Cream Parlor in Epharim, Wi for even asking such a question. Shame on you!

Sorry, folks, there has been a time or two after a good hard 30-40 mile ride when a Hostess pie is all I had and it tasted damn fine.
So, back off and leave the poor guy alone :p

You've gotten lots of feedback already, but let me add this: the "pie" on the right goes well with your bike, and would earn you poseur points. Just sayin'

Ah, I know it well. I have beat a path to their door a good 4 or 5 times.

It's a little early for us to be making firm plans, but Mrs. Grouch and I are tentatively planning a Haj to Wilson's next summer.

Even if people are putting down your choice of pie, you have done a wonderful job of color coordinating the wrappers with your bike! :roflmao2:

I would certainly agree it's a lovely bike, but awarding any kind of points because the wrapper matches it? Hrrmphh, now that's just putting lipstick on a pig. Just sayin'
I like the nifty helmet storage rack. ;)
