two of my teammates were racing against each other in today's TT. looser must sport skinsuit at team party at Goose Island brew pub (wrigleyville) on a saturday night. the rest of the team has agreed to go "semi formal" ooof. glad it wasn't me.:roflmao2:

Psimet - I know that Joel is a wicked strong dude, and has a lot going for him genetically, but a super-controlled race like the FF crits always end up being is not exactly a proper testing ground.
Because even though I'm 2,000mi away, and haven't talked to JM about it, I know how ABD races, and how that race almost certainly panned out. Last year, the 3s in the 1/2/3 race were holding on by the skin of their teeth, and it was a relatively easy race, at both crits and the RR. Particularly after the moves went.

Meh. ABD didn't have much of a stranglehold. I think the biggest factor to his winning the field sprint (beyond his own strength and execution, of course) was the excellent leadout he got from at least a couple of BH mates. Gotta remember to look for that baby-blue train next season. It's a reliable express route.

No doubts and no worries....but remember he was racing in July too....just like everyone else.
...and he did the same thing at Downers....
...and Chicago....
....and Vernon Hills....
