Ok so I am looking for a good computer, whether it be watch based or bike unit based.

I think watch based is the only real option since I would like to be able to swim, bike, and run with it. I'd be ok with just riding and running too.

But what are you guys training with? I need some suggestions and opinions.

I am currently looking at the garmin 405 and the suunto t3 and t6, which are quite cheaper then the garmin. The 405 is the only option from garmin so no need to suggest a 305.

So now opinions, personal experience, and recommendations please.

Others may have a different opinion of the 405 but those that I have talked to have said it is very buggy. Even the folks at Garmin that I have talked to have told me that there are some bugs that still need to work out. For example, be bezel that you touch to change screens and such is very sensitive to water, sweat, rain, will cause it to change screens, turn off etc. Not to mention it seems to react when it wants to, for example, you touch the bezel and it may or may not do what you are expecting it to do.

I don't know anything about the others you are looking at, but why are you set against the 305 or even the new 310 from Garmin?

I have looked at the 305 but its like wearing a computer on your wrist. Im not a big person either so it looks even bigger and bulkier on me and something that sizes bothers me when I run. Now I haven't actually tried a 405 so it could be the same way but my friend got one for his girlfriend and compared the size to a suunto t3 but with a little added volume for the gps.

The main reason I am leaning to the suuntos is aesthetics and size really. Plus price.
