OK. I have been putzing with my Brooks for some time now, and it still creaks. I greased it and lubed it and it still creaks. It seem to creak mainly with my Sakae seatpost as opposed to my Bianchi. However, I like the Sakae seatpost. Anybody have a similar experience? If so, how'd you cure this creaky old man seat?

I don't remember if I heard it hear or on a list-serve but some folks who have creaking Brooks have figured out that lubing the tension bolt helps. I personally have no experiance with this but I hope it helps.

I'd say drink more beer...but that is just my mechanical side.

But that will only worse the situation as my ass gets bigger and the creaks get more extended!

My sprung Conquest creaks and lubricating its rails and spring parts help quiet it down quiet a bit. All my other Brooks saddles are quiet.

I have the same problem with my B17. It's the only noisy part of my bike. I've yet to find a solution.

I tried tightening it all the way and that seemed to work temporarily. I'll keep you posted.

?Tightening the saddle tension bolt at the front? Once you're at the end of the bolt, that's it. You can't tension the saddle any further if you need to tighten the leather...

sheehs..you still jerkin' that saddle around?
have you lubed the seatpost? chainring bolts? simmer the saddle in bees wax. That worked for me!
