Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Looking at this later today

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Will go look at this in the afternoon. Don't know much about it except it's a 1981 Bianchi Nuovo Touring. My guess is the difference between the Race and Touring is the triple cranks. I think the guy wants too much for it, so anyone have a wild guess as to what it's worth? Many thanks.

according to the catalog they both have 3 tube Columbus frames. one the racing had Campi where the touring has a triple. (wow Bianchi had racing triples back in '81) what is the asking price? I do not have prices for the '81 but the '82 Nouvo racing was $549 there was no '82 N.T. the triples in '82 had HiTen or manganese frames. I might offer two but I have not seen it. it should be a great riding bike depending on the condition. btw you do know it is nonindex yes?

My '83 Nuovo Alloro is a double, and all campy <record?> except for the Modolo brakes.
But yes, it's very smooth and comfy.
What it says is:
Vintage 1981 52cm BIANCHI Nouva Touring Roabike in a creme and blue color with engraved Bianchi logos, Piaggio frame logos, and a Made in Italy: Manufucatured in 1981 seatube frame logo. Comes with engraved Shimano 600 Ultegra derailers and shifters, Strada triple cranks, Armadillo bombproof tires on Mavic high polish rims, New Creme Italian Cinelli cork bar wrap, Vintage Italian Selle San Marco brown suede saddle, Vintage Italian ITM Special bars, Vintage quill stem, Campy grooved seatpost, 18 speeds w triple cranks for hills. Rides good with lots of beauty marks/love scratches and lots of character. Very Rare.
The bike looks OK, but can see some scratches and paint chips in the picture. Guys wants $500 which sounds like an awful lot. Says it's rare, but could possible just be a little weird.
I was looking for a project bike but this may not be it.
Relatively new at this and just started looking.
Thanks.
