I was riding yesterday morning, westbound along Jericho Turnpike near Mineola and I noticed a bunch of roadies riding together. They all had blue jerseys and as they zipped past me I noticed that some of their jerseys had the Emigrant bank lettering on it. I didn't think there would be any major rides on a Monday morning but this one had a few police escorts that stopped traffic for them at some of the busier intersections. I was struggling to keep up with them on my beach cruiser but I eventually turned off of Jericho around New Hyde Park, so I don't know where they were going, only that they were continuing westbound. I'm just wondering if anyone here knows about this ride or participated in it.
