Citizen Bike and the Metropolitan Transit Authority of the State of New York have teamed together to create the MTA MetroBike.

Here is a link:http://www.citizenbike.com/catalog.asp?product_category_id=1&product_id=21

It looks like a good price for the 6 speed folder @ $295 USD.

I think we have 2 forum members who each own an MTA Metrobike, and seem very happy with it.

I wonder if you're allowed to bring a Citizen MTA bike on board the bus? I guess if the bus driver is in a bad mood, you can show him the bike is "Authorized" to board the bus!

The Seven and the N! Astoria/LIC baby! I miss my old neighborhood sometimes.

I'll save the "Let's Go Mets" for next April, though.... :(

I am seriously considering buying one. Are they any good? For the price, looks like a great deal. If anyone has one, I would be greatly interested in what you think. Can this be packed in a suitcase?

Yes, still quite happy with mine. I do wish it went faster in hardest gear. Might swap out wheel to put in lowr cog and get higher speed (under $50 I hear). High quality bike, but did have to have crank tightened after bought it (fell off!!).. have whole bike looked over by bike shop after get it. There is a whole thread u should check out on cheap folders, where everyone throws in their two cents. Might like the Schwinn Loop which is a great deal too. Good luck! - f
